REQUIREMENTS TO RUN FOR SCHOOL BOARD
18 years or older
Must be a resident for 1 year in district and a US Citizen

Process –
Contact Board of Elections Office in February to get petitions and request copy of street list. The street list takes one to five business days to get and the first one is free. List gives information on republicans and democrats who have voted in the area.

To get on the ballot :
Must obtain 10 signatures on petition – get more than that because they are validated and errors can occur.

To get on the democratic ballot and the republican ballot:
Circulate two petitions – must have Republican circulate republican petition And Democrat must circulate democratic petition. Get minimum of 15 names on each to ensure voter information is verified and correct.
